First Float Of 2015, with Ken.
Recently dusted off the old pontoon boat and did a float down the squamish river, from 27, mile down too the ashlu bridge. The river was in less than good shape, with water clarity not so good!!. It was a nice day and the sun was out so we figured what better thing to do than get out in the great outdoors, being in the middle of nowhere. I hadn't done that float yet this year and was wanting too see the changes since the last time I'd done it!!.. Here are some pics...
This Years Fishing!!..
Here's the update, for this year!!.. The salmon season saw what I would call a reasonable run of Chum, and Coho,. Caught a few Dollies, and Bull trout,. The river conditions were less than perfect, with water clarity not at it's best!!.. Fished the lower river a lot.. After I got tired of fishing lower I went up too the Upper Squamish and fished bullies. Found lots of good fishing and caught a ton of bullies, all over the river.. The clarity in the upper was at that time mostly clear and good visibility. Here's some pics..

N.S.F.G.C.. Tunkwa Lake Outing..
I went up to Tunkwa Lake, for the N.S.F.G.C, outing with Cliff. He organized it and we had a cool cabin to stay in right on the lake. He did a great job putting it together, and there was a good turnout of 13 members. The fishing was a bit slow, some were getting a few more than others. In this lake u can fish all different types of bait and lures. Cliff had his inflatable zodiac with an electric motor on it. We ended up doing a lot of trolling around, and we got a few hits and had a few fish on!. It was great to get out there and be on the lake..
Fishing with Sam!!..
It's back to lake fishing, as all the rivers are to high now. I went out with Sam, to Green Lake, and we fished for half a day there. I caught a few and landed my first bull trout. We went to Pemberton and fished Mosquito Lake for the rest of the day. It was a little slow, not that much happened. I hooked up on a mystery fish, that I didn't land. It was a fun day, Sam had a blast!!..

Guide Files.. 1. 2013..
Here are some clients I had taken out, with Pat, one of the other guides that we have.. I took some out on my own as well...
Record Breaking Pink Run.. 2013.
This Years Pink run started in mid July, and went right through till just about October. It was fun out there because I started guiding, and that was great taking people out from all over. I had people from Texas, Arkansas, Boston, and Nova Scotia. Some of them had fly fished, before and some had not. I did 2 schools on the river and my clients were very surprised at how easy it was 2 hook up on a fish. The usual response would be is it like this all the time??.. I would say only when u r fishing for pinks. It seemed that the fun would never stop. These are some more cool shots, some are clients, some aren't...

Cast n Blast, 2013..
The Cast n Blast went off without a hitch this year. It was a great success and everyone had a great time. Brian did a fantastic job putting it all together, and making it work. This year we had the tent set up and had some great films too check out. There was also some flytying, with Stu Foxhall, Mike Orlowski. I was in the Iron Fly competition, that was a fun.. The rules were that you Had 10min, too come up with the coolest fly and maybe win the Iron Fly trophy, Captain Kirk took the honours and was the victor too hold the trophy for the next year. There were all sorts of speakers, and seminars and also test casting the rods out on the grass. Oh yeah the flycasting mini golf as well.. All in all it was a great event and the venue at Sunwolf was the best place for it, right alongside the Cheakamus River.. Good times as allways, looking forward 2 next year...
