Swinging, for steel on the upper Squamish River.

It was a great day to swing for those elusive steelhead, on the upper Squamish River. I met my fishing buddies, for the day at 7am, at Ryan's place. Me Dave, and Ryan, made our way up the rd, to the river and the put in spot. We put in at Shovelnose Creek, and drifted to the Memorial Run. The day went well and we had a lot of fun, and just seeing the river and fishing some nice water. As it goes sometimes you don't always catch the fish, but you can have a great day, trying!!. You always say wow!!, what a great run, or riffle, and it didn't produce a single fish. Sometimes that's what happens, or the fish are there and don't want to take anything, or there just wasn't anything there. The thing is you never know. It was a great day, and hanging out with the guys, and just enjoying where you are is important. Fun times!!.. As always. To the Watershed Grill. for a cold one...

Fishing upper Cheakamus River.

It was a great day to try our luck on some trout in the upper Cheakamus, up by Lucille Lake. I picked up my friend Jeanette, and we headed out for our grand adventure, on the river. The river was in great shape, and color. We went through a few spots, and put a few different flies through but the fish just didn't co operate. It was still a super fun day, and we had a great time. I guess it doesn't matter how many fish ya catch, or if you catch fish, as long as your having fun. You gotta look stylish!!..

Camping at Blackwater Lake.

The past weekend, I went on the first camping weekend in awhile. I went to meet Pat up at Blackwater Lake, for a fun bit of fishing, and hanging out. To my surprise I ran into Dan, and Andrew, and had a little hang out with them. The weekend was good, and weather was awesome, the fishing was a little slow. For the amount of people that were out on the lake, the amount of fish that were caught wasn't great. We had some great food, and drink, sitting by the fire. Super fun time was had by all, I brought a friend up with me, Michele, and she had a great time just kicking around in the float tube, and enjoying being out there. It was awesome, I had fun!!..

Pinks 2015...

Pink fishing this year was a lot of fun.. Me, Ken, and Andy, and Jonathon were out there catching a few and just having some good times. The crowds were pretty big as they always are so me, Andy, and Ken took our pontoon boats out to get away from the crowds and fish some of the other spots on the other side of the river. We would have it all to ourselves and it was just us catching all the fish that were there. We saw some bears, from time to time, pretty cool watching them look for fish and check out what we were doing. It made for great days out there, just hanging out and chillin with the guys. Floating the river is awesome because you see things that you wouldn't normally see when you walk and fish.. It's called being on the wild side of the river.. Here are some scenic shots..

First Float Of 2015, with Ken.

Recently dusted off the old pontoon boat and did a float down the squamish river, from 27, mile down too the ashlu bridge. The river was in less than good shape, with water clarity not so good!!. It was a nice day and the sun was out so we figured what better thing to do than get out in the great outdoors, being in the middle of nowhere. I hadn't done that float yet this year and was wanting too see the changes since the last time I'd done it!!.. Here are some pics...

This Years Fishing!!..

Here's the update, for this year!!.. The salmon season saw what I would call a reasonable run of Chum, and Coho,. Caught a few Dollies, and Bull trout,. The river conditions were less than perfect, with water clarity not at it's best!!.. Fished the lower river a lot.. After I got tired of fishing lower I went up too the Upper Squamish and fished bullies. Found lots of good fishing and caught a ton of bullies, all over the river.. The clarity in the upper was at that time mostly clear and good visibility. Here's some pics..
